Zaytoun is a Community Interest Company founded to support Palestinian farmers through fair trade and 100% of the profits are reinvested into furthering this mission. The range is both a celebration of the exceptional quality produced in Palestine, and a means of sustainable livelihood for the growers.
The social enterprise bought the first Fairtrade olive oil to market in 2009 and continues to source a growing range of fine foods from Palestine. It now includes Roasted Chilli Almonds and Carmelised Almonds, za’atar, Great Taste Award winning Medjoul dates, giant couscous maftoul, green wheat freekeh and Fairtrade organic almonds, as well as a selection of hampers, gift boxes and Palestinian cookbooks.

Medjoul dates are known as the ‘King of Dates’ due to their size and rich caramel succulence. Both gourmet and wholesome, they are high in fibre and potassium, with a natural sweetness that makes them a delicious treat any time of the day. They are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee, an indulgent addition to desserts and stews, and delicious with a festive cheeseboard.
