Bios

Tamer

Director of Restricted, Tamer is a Palestinian filmmaker based in Hebron, West Bank. At 24 years old, he is in his final year at Dar Al Kalima University in Bethlehem, specialising in Film Production with a focus on Cinematic Directing.

Luay

Director of Born a Celebrity, Luay is a Palestinian director who holds a BFA in filmmaking from Dar Al Kalima University. He has written and directed several award-winning short films.

Nisreen

Director of 10 Minutes Younger, Nisreen is a Palestinian director who has worked across various roles in film. Passionate about art house cinema and storytelling, Nisreen’s films reflect her unique vision of capturing the Palestinian experience within a global context.

Rana

Director of El-Halabiyeh and Cinema Al-Amal, Rana is a Palestinian director exploring film, visual arts and archives. She has directed multi award-winning documentaries and contributes to community-based cultural projects.

Hayat

Director of Shattered Memories, Hayat is an independent filmmaker and a native of Palestine, Jerusalem. Hayat’s work addresses the themes of art, theatre, image, memory and the societal memory of the city of Jerusalem.

This programme is presented by the Bethlehem Culture Festival in partnership with Dar Al-Kalima University in Bethlehem.
